Our Christmas concert was held on Sunday December 14th, at St Mary’s Church, Purton. We had a wonderful afternoon, much enjoyed by all, and have been able to support St Mary’s with a donation of £200. Thank you to all who joined us.
Thank you also to all who joined us on 15th November for our “Come and Sing” day, featuring Vivaldi’s beautiful Gloria. The day was a tremendous success. Tickets sold out quickly, with 80 singers present, some of whom battled the floods from as far away as Cardiff, Southampton, Birmingham and Devon. A testament to the popularity of Vivaldi’s Gloria!
Our Summer Concert was held on Sunday July 6th, at St Sampson’s Church Cricklade. We had a good-sized audience, despite the rain and Wimbledon on the television! Lots of positive comments were received and £250 donation was given to St Sampson’s.
On 21st June, we sang at the “Sing Out for a Brighter Future” charity event at Immanuel Church in Swindon. As always, this was a fun event with multiple choirs, each singing for half an hour, raising funds for the Swindon GWH Brighter Futures charity!
On 22nd March Sing Four Four and Swindon Male Voice Choir held a joint concert at the beautiful St Bartholomew’s Church, Royal Wootton Bassett, entitled “The Sounds of Spring”, with the proceeds supporting St Sampsons School Music Fund.
Looking a little further back, our Christmas Concert was held on Sunday December 1st, at St Mary’s Church Purton. It was pleasure for the choir to sing in such a beautiful Church and we were supported by 104 audience members, from Cricklade and Purton.
